Welcome to Joy Tours PR! By booking a tour with us, you agree to the following Terms & Conditions. Please read them carefully before your trip.
Joy Tours PR offers private boat day tours and open group tours to the Bioluminescent Bay (Bio Bay) in La Parguera, Lajas, Puerto Rico.
Each tour is limited to a maximum of 6 guests per boat.
All passengers, regardless of age, count toward the total capacity of the boat.
Payment Policy: All tours must be paid in full (100%) at the time of booking through our website.
Moderate alcohol consumption is permitted on daytime private tours only.
No alcohol is allowed during Bio Bay tours for safety and environmental reasons.
Excessive drinking or unruly behavior may result in cancellation of the tour without refund.
Illegal drugs and smoking/vaping of any kind are strictly prohibited on all tours.
Violation of this policy will result in immediate cancellation of the tour without refund, and possible notification to authorities.
Guests may cancel with at least 48 hours’ notice prior to departure to receive a full refund.
Cancellations with less than 48 hours’ notice are non-refundable.
Rescheduling is allowed up to 48 hours before the tour, subject to availability.
No-show Policy: Guests who fail to show up for the tour without prior notice will forfeit their payment.
If unsafe weather (e.g. strong winds, lightning, heavy rain) prevents departure, tours will be rescheduled or refunded in full, at the captain’s discretion.
Cloudy skies or light rain do not qualify for a refund.
The captain reserves the right to modify the itinerary or route due to weather or safety concerns without partial refunds.
Daytime Tours: Guests must arrive 15–30 minutes before departure. A 15-minute grace period after the scheduled time is allowed. If you arrive later, the tour may depart without you and you will lose your payment.
Bio Bay Tours: No exceptions will be made for late arrivals. Guests must arrive 15–30 minutes before departure. There is no grace period. If you are late, you will lose your tour and payment.
Guests are responsible for any damage to the boat, equipment, or property caused by negligence or misconduct.
The captain may end the tour early if safety is compromised or damage occurs.
All ages are welcome, but every person—regardless of age—counts toward the boat’s
6-passenger limit.
Children must be supervised by an adult at all times.
No Foam Cooler Allowed
There is no wheelchair access to the vessel.
Guests must be able to step onto the boat and use a ladder to enter and exit the water.
If you are unsure about your physical ability to participate, please contact us before booking.
Removing or collecting any animals, shells, coral, or plants from the water or shoreline is strictly prohibited.
Guests may not climb onto mangroves, break branches, or damage them in any way.
All activities must follow environmental protection guidelines to preserve the natural ecosystem.
Sunscreen Policy: Spray sunscreen is not allowed as it makes surfaces slippery and can be harmful to marine life. Only reef-safe/coral-friendly lotion sunscreen is permitted.
Violation of this policy may result in immediate termination of the tour without refund.
All passengers must follow the captain’s instructions at all times.
Life jackets and safety equipment are available and may be required during parts of the tour.
Joy Tours PR is not responsible for loss or damage to personal belongings during the tour.
Guests participate at their own risk and must act responsibly at all times.
Joy Tours PR is not liable for injuries caused by failure to follow safety instructions, reckless behavior, or incidents beyond our control (e.g. wildlife, sudden weather changes).
By booking a tour with Joy Tours PR, you acknowledge and accept these Terms & Conditions. It is your responsibility to ensure all members of your group are aware of and follow these policies.
